Make a bright and clean drop with the Custom Shape Tool and using some Gradients.


1. First make a drop using the Custom Shape Tool then right click over the layer and Rasterize Layer.

2. Double click over the layer or right click/Blending Options to open the Layer Style’s window and go to Gradient Overlay and use these colors for the gradient #67c2fc to #daf1ff.

3. Now go to Stroke and use change the size to 1px and put this color #75c9ff.

4. Press Ctrl+Click over the thumb of the layer to select it and create a new layer. Fill it with any color and move the selection 3px to the right as seen below.

5. Now delete it and press Ctrl+D or go to Select/Deselect. Change the fill to 0% and open the Layer Style’s window and go to Gradient Overlay:

6. Do the step 4 but now move the selection as you can see below.

7. Do the step 5 again but with the following.

8. Select the first layer again and create a new layer. Using the Gradient Tool make a Radial Gradient while you
do it keeping Shift press and then deselect it.

9. Now you should have something like this.

10. Select the first layer again and go to Select/Contract and put 1px. Fill it using the bucket wiht any color then change its fill to 0%. Open the Layer Style and copy the following structure and for the gradient use Transparent to White.

11. Redo the step 4 but now move the selection 4px to the top and then delete it and again the same steps.

12. Fill 0% and open the Layer Style and go to Gradient Overlay the next part is pretty similar what you did in the step 5.

13. Finaly open the Layer Style’s windows of the first layer and add a Drop Shadow.

14. And now you must have something like this:

Very nice result, you can also make a brush of it.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article op | Pscloud, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
